Kia Ora Koutou!
The Trustees recently received a notice from the power company that maintains the powerlines down Papatu Road and our lovely Puriri tree is trying to awhi the power pole a bit too much.
So to ensure our Papatu Road whanau still have access to electricity we have made the decision to allow the power company to remove the tree. The trustees intend to plant a replacement Puriri in the marae grounds.
There are also plans to remove some of the trees near the wharekai as they are a health and safety issue.
